VT shooting: sad and depressing
I really wanted to type something today on this dark incident, was busy all day and so doing it at around 2 AM. first i would like to express my deepest condelences to all the victims and their friends and relatives. i am sure it would be very hard for anyone to digest such a horrible act. it has really upset me and i was shocked and cant imagine how someone can lose control of himself and act in this fashion.
i seriously think non-violence should become a course in schools worldwide. many should understand that non-violence is not about refraining from hitting (shooting) people but refraining from hating people. its everything in your mind, so even at your mind level, there should be no hate or regrets on others. the world should be seen as a single entity and everything connected and any hurt or hate inflicted on others will somehow hurt you as well.
more people should be educated on spiritual and non-violent philosophies. i am sure they both are highly connected. everyone's life this, next will all depend on our good bad doing throughout our life. i believe on life after death and also re-births. these beliefs do not come from me being a hindu, but i just dont think life can end just like it. i am sure it keeps going in a different place with better conditions for people who have been good all through. so for the friends of victims believe me its not the end.
another thing i wanted to write on is the police acting and gun law in usa. its so pathetic how a gunman can hang around inside a university for around 2 hours after an initial shooting, it was said he had a jacket and ammunitions. So if the univ has taken actions and informed everyone asap of a suspected loose shooter i am sure the mass killing could have been avoided. secondly, the number of gun licenses should defnitely be reduced and guns should be granted to only more responsible ppl and they should be well trained (discipline wise) before getting one. hope the law changes and more alerting systems comes in so the world can avoid such tragedies.
once again i am very sorry for the victims and their friends and relatives and pray for their peace of mind. but i am sure they are sent to a different world with better conditions and continue living their life to the fullest.
